Wynwood 2200 Block

Wynwood, Miami, Florida | 2019 - 2020

Art in Architecture - Architecture and art are fully integrated in this multitenant retail building in the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami. Sited in a busy urban area full of pedestrians and cars, tourists and residents, the 16,500 SF project was designed to capture an idea of Wynwood's diverse cultures and vibrancy and a memory of the historic physicality of the warehouses that once made up the district.

A noted artist was commissioned by the client to create an installation for the development that plays beautifully off of the building's brutalist concrete frame - a mix of refined, vibrant colors blending with the grit of concrete.
