Duval Street Revitalization & Resiliency Plan
Key West, Florida | ongoing
S+A is part of a multidisciplinary team tasked with planning for the future of Key West's historic Duval Street corridor. Drawing from our experience across the state in resiliency planning for historic districts, S+A will create a series of adaptation recommendations for individual business and property owners as well as suggestions for policy amendments for the City of Key West; and work with the team to create a vision a revitalized streetscape.
Community involvement is a key part of the process. This past Thursday the team held an interactive workshop to gather opinions and input in the EH Gato Building (1920), a former cigar factory that is now a Monroe County facility. Property and business owners as well as elected officials and city staff offered opinions, concerns and input in a series of valuable discussions. The project's process can be followed at duval4all.com and @duvalforall.
