Basecamp 305 Primary School

Miami Beach, Florida | 2023

In Miami Beach in 1917, the Iva Sproule Baker School of Music opened in the original building on the project site. As the city grew, the school was adapted and expanded, eventually becoming a mixed-use hotel and residential building. Working closely with the owner, S+A designed the renovation of the former single room schoolhouse and conversion of the other structures on the site to create a neighborhood K-3 school that focuses on project-based learning experiences.
